Philosophers often discuss the idea of absurdity. But now, the word has taken on a new dimension. Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize. It is (to use Obama's favorite cliche' -and it is hard to choose among them) a defining moment in the idiocy of the Nobel committee, and the world in general.
@kennethamy,
Its not that surprising actually. Didnt Henry Kissinger win one. lol.
Also I believe the nomination had to be in by Feb. 1st. 10 whole days of accomplishment.lol
Hopefully this will get people to think about the war and how it is tied in with Peace. Probably wont.

And so did Jimmy Carter, but at least there was some reason. The Camp David talks on the Middle East. But this award had no reason for it at all. It was an act of pure politics. It certainly won't do the Nobel committee any good to make them a laughing stock. Of course, it will be another, "defining moment" for Obama. Everytime he goes to the bathroom he thinks it is a defining moment. Maybe it is a booby prize for the Olympics. At least that would be some reason.
@kennethamy,
Not only that, but get a load of this:

I didn't see that one coming. However it is not anything new that people jerk off to catoons. Just search Youtube for "wow jerk off". And in Australia a guy has been convicted of pedophilia for having cartoon porn. :sarcastic:
