4:0 .... the highest defeat since 1974 for Argentina, when they lost with the very same result against ... the other finalist, the Netherlands. Wink

fbaezer needs Klose to score at least two goals AND at least one more than Villa and Higuaín AND Tévez and Podolski not to score.

Very Happy

Only thing left is hope Villa doesn't score twice!

I guess I should have changed my players, but I just got back from Europe

When can I change the players if at all?

Every player can change his/her strikers for phase 3 (semifinals, 3rd place game and final).
Now it's more important, since many of the chosen strikers play for eliminated teams.

Oh good then. Here is my new list
1. Miroslav Klose (Germany)
2. David Villa (Spain)
3.Thomas Mueller (Germany
4. Fernando Torres (Spain)

@CalamityJane,
I would swap Torres if I was you Cal. For Forlan maybe. Torres might not play again. He was a passenger today.

@spendius,
You're right, spendius. I did see Torres leave the field early today. We'll
see if he doesn't play on Wednesday, I will switch beforehand to Forlan.

Klose - Germany
Forlan - Uruguay
Sneidjer - Netherlands

We have until the evening of the 6th, right? I may change the order of my strikers, depending on whim, or more reading.

@CalamityJane,
Well done, fbaezer. And thanks for the terrific summaries, which really add to the enjoyment.

For the final stages, I'll gamble on mid-fielders; and Klose to equal Ronaldo's all-time goalscoring record.

Robben (Net)
Klose (Ger)
Iniesta (Spa)
Kuyt (Net)
Xavi (Spa)
