So Hermione wants to know what song I'd like for the Bride/Father-of-the-Bride
dance. Not "Daddy's Little Girl", I know that. But what? Any ideas?

@George,
Goodbye little girl
I won't be seeing you again
Yeah goodbye little girl
I won't be seeing you again
We had a lot of fun together
But all good things come to an end

I just been your funny clown
Some one you might have around
Yeah I've been your funny clown
Some one you liked having around
Someone to keep you happy
While your true love is not in town

Goodbye little girl
Please don't beg me to stay
Yeah goodbye little girl
Please don't beg me to stay
Is that the tear in your eye
Let your true love guide a way

Goodbye little girl
Please don't beg me to stay
Yeah goodbye little girl
Please don't beg me to stay
Is that the tear in your eye
Let your true love guide a way

@George,
The one I really wanted was "I'll Stand by You" by the Pretenders. By alas my dad is much more traditional and always wanted to dance to "Daddy's Little Girl" - didn't hurt that he is Irish as well. So I allowed it.

What sort of music do you prefer? There is a slew of country songs that would fit and many of the boy band types, but don't know if you like those.

I think Trace Adkins has a good one if I can think of it (only of course if you like that sort of music).

@George,
Well I personally like the Pretenders and the lyrics may not be 100% for a father daughter, but the overall thought is appropriate.

I like I loved her first too - but is a country tune.

For stepdaughter, she chose "Save the Last Dance for Me"

But, that's their special song for years.

Whatever you do, don't play Sunrise/Sunset.

Everyone will cry.

Now this is a boy band (as I warned you) but I used to love singing this to my baby (when she was a baby) -

"God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You"

@George,
a little Louis makes every day better

What a wonderful world

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin' "how do you do?"
They're really sayin' "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah
