Any body have any ideas? I'm a writer working on a script, and I wanted to know: What's a sexually transmitted disease that is incurable and worse than herpes but probably not as bad as AIDS and can be contracted by both men and women. (Not just carried by men.)

Good answer! Though, I should have said one that you can't get vaccinated for.
There are only 4 incurable STDs - AIDS, herpes, Hep B and HPV.
Maybe your character could have HIV that doesn't become AIDS?
