A group of banteng graze in the eastern plains of the
Mondulkiri protected forest of Cambodia. In the past 50 years the species of wild cattle has declined by more than 80%. Over 5,000 banteng are estimated to live in the Mondulkiri forest. They are highly prized by hunters and remain one of the 10 most endangered species in Cambodia.
