Wild horses graze under the watch of Mount John Laurie in Alberta, Canada. The peak is also known as Mount Yamnuska, Nakoda for "wall of stone."

Love 'em.

I used to collect/tear out of magazines photos of animals that I might include as 'models' in my landscape paintings - had quite a lot of sheep photos at one point. Oddly, I never did put any sheep in a painting, though I did add a horse once, mainly to add a sense of scale to the work, as in, those trees must be really tall. (they were)
