Not only that, I've done a bunch of paintings with similarities.

One of these days I'll have to make a list and see what happened to the lot of them. Not that the paintings are ever so great, but that I am pulled by that photo.

I like that they've taken such a narrow space and attempted to be at one with nature. Aesthetically, not so sure! But appreciate the effort they've put into it.

Vonny, back when we had a gallery and design studio, my business partner and I used to read magazines together once in a while in a break time, both pouncing on what ever the photo page was. Some times we agreed obviously and sometimes we didn't. We learned from when we didn't, some times. Disagreement fine.

The picture brought back good feelings when on a warm day it was a pleasure to walk in the narrow street with the flowers making one feel better and they are cooler and quiteter.
Art should bring out feelings too now and then.

I miss the fall from my youth. Moving back to town, meet the friends from school again and then go to the movies on a rainy nihgt.

The best creative ideas often spring from disagreement - it seems to stir the creative juices.

Cities versus the country - that stirs a lot of mixed emotions in me. I was born in a city, but a city within easy walking distance of the countryside, and only a few short miles to the sea - when I'm in one, I crave the other!

To me, nature can mean the sight of a night sky glimpsed above city streets, or rolling fields, a bunch of weeds growing from an old brick wall in town, or a dramatic waterfall.
