@ossobuco,
When I went to Machu Picchu in 2003, there were 11 in our group. Although we were at the Machu Picchu plateau, 11 of us started walking to the top of the Inca trail, and only 5 of us made it to the top.

What that means in relationship to that video is that even people in relatively good health has difficulty climbing that trail.

@saab,
But to see amazing landscapes of this world first hand are more rewarding than pictures.

@cicerone imposter,
What I said was meant as a compliment to the persons who have choosen these amazing pictures and also the photographers who have spent an awful lot of time and patience to get this maybe once in a lifetime picture.
Who can quaranty me such an experience when I travel somewhere - there can be fog, rain or the wrong light.
To me travelling should be a bit more than just been there - seen it. Next stop please and time enough to take a picture .

I'm not sure how many tours you have been on, but most allows people to more than just stop and take a picture. Some times it's the opposite; we spend too much time at one spot.

BTW, I'm not disagreeing with the appreciation of the many good pictures posted on this thread. I'm enjoying them as well.

@cicerone imposter,
I do not know what you mean with tours. If you mean cruises I have never taken one.
I have travelled a lot and I have lived in different countries, I speak 5 languages
and I have even worked as a travel guide, Ithink I know a bit about travelling.
I have taken some coach tours.

I have never travelled much outside of Europe, and since I was disabled, trips to exotic climes are a bit of a no-no, but I can and do enjoy vicarious expeditions to many destinations globally - and I thank heavens for the internet and all the joy of travel it provides to armchair travellers like myself. The more photographs the merrier - bring them on! Cool

@saab,
If you worked as a travel guide, and you took your clients to one quickie spot just to take pictures and leave, I'm not sure you're a good travel guide.
