please look at this english text...

Although accounting for only a quarter of Axleton's total sales force, the Carlton regional office generated the majority of sales nationwide.

I am bit confused whether 'Axleton' is the name of a shop or name of a place ?
How do I guess ?

@tintin,
Axleton is the name of a company. I never heard of it, but I know it is a company name from the way it is used.

How do you guess? Well, I guessed based on their having a sales force. I also guess it is a nationwide company because they have nationwide sales. Carlton is probably a place name. It is possibly the name of a subsidary of Axleton. It is remotely possible that Axleton names its regions for the highest ranking officer in each region. This is unlikely.

Truely, I have no idea how you could guess all this. I'm just going to have to call it intuitive, but based on experience.

sales force == staff / employee .....right ?

I think I got it..

So, it seems they are saying that carlton office has less number staff but the sale by them was great nationwide...........is it something like that ?

Looks like Axelton is the parent company and Carleton is one of the regional "branches".
The Carleton regional office could simply be the name of the town where this branch is located.
