OK, the possum killer won't have to leave town at all, then.

He & his friends will meet & hold a small, solemn ceremony at the site of the unfortunate "incident". They'll construct a little shrine, burn incense & scatter petals. And soon after, start an awareness campaign about possum safety on local roads.

This has more to do with the per capita consumption of "Rolling Rock" than some altruistic attempt to resuscitate a sufficiently dead o'possum.

Who exactly does the consuming? (Dunno whether I should ask, really ..)
