Mystery photo affiliated with Lew Wallace

I have a photograph of a man in which, I cannot figure out whom he is. I found his photograph along with two others, containing Lew Wallace and James Whitcomb Riley. I have reason to believe they are affiliated. All I know is the photo's have a "1900 Lacey %26 Nicolson" stamp on them, I've done extensive research and found the two photographs I have, that are identified where taken in the famous Wallace study in Indiana in 1900. I was hoping maybe you could give me a little help in figuring out whom he is. It would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link to the picture:

That's a wonderful photo. I'm no help though. Perhaps others here will know more, or know how to find out who he is.
