You would need to add the word 'every' in the second example.

By the way, your two examples don't have the same meaning, so far as repaying a loan goes. Every two weeks would result in a slightly faster payback than every half a month.

roger's right, "every half a month" means you'd make 24 payments a year. "every two weeks" means you'd make 26.
