Go to today's (24 March 2010) Left Take . . . www.leftake.com. . . and read "Republicans: Not Just Wrong, but really, really, really stupid too."

It will astound and upset all progressives.

Of course, the Republicans will respond with their own fanciful definition of socialism that has nothing to do with reality and then scoff at any corrections from political scientists!

Note my exception to use of the language "progressives"
unless it be designated progressing toward WHAT ?

There is an extensive story about the Tennessee Tea Totalitarian convention in the 25 March 2010 edition of the New York Review of Books that makes enlightening reading.

Joan Walsh makes enlightening reading as well: http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/joan_walsh/politics/2010/03/20/tea_party_racism?source=newsletter

Speaking of stupid...Vienna's the place where they speak 'Austrian', right? Smile

@plainoldme,
The stats aren't so astounding because the number of people that self declare themselves as Republicans isn't that large.

This works out to about 15% of the total population for most of those questions. Grading on a Bell curve, that isn't surprising at all. I would guess 15% of the population would claim the US government brought down the Twin Towers.
