Cant have both. If most extinctions were catstrophicallly originated then you also saying that these catastrophes ( eg. Cretaceous "killer meteorite", Permio/Triassic flood basalt) were also the "geo enginering" of the planet. Ya been watching too much Star Trek.

I have been reading over the first three or four pages of this thread. I had forgotten all the good minds that contributed. They will never read this post, most of them, but I humbly thank all who have made it what it is.
