My husband experiences severe chest pain every time he eats rice---sometimes bread. What could cause this?

Ask him to see a doctor. As it quite not possible that it happening due to rice in meal because rice digest better then bread or chappati.

Hi janep, the same thing happens to me, i cant eat anymore, i cant swallow and i have to get up and walk it off. Just researching it now, but have had it for years and also with certain breads

You might be allergic to rice or some component in bread. Avoid consuming these foods.Consult your doctor, he/she will suggest you appropriate treatment
