I sorta agree. Anytime someone markets themselves as a 'sensible centrist' I am immediately suspicious

Here is some good info on the party and its founder. Personally, I prefer coffee to tea.

@dyslexia,
I have an appointment to donate platelets in an hour. I expect a fresh pot of gourmet mocha coffee to be ready when I get back!!!

Make sure there is plenty of sugar and milk!
AS if I have to drink my coffee black and bitter!

Well then ....

What did you expect - that new "party" is just the latest name for ACORN, proven to be a terminal fraud and consequently losing its funding. The overlap between the membership lists of the 2 is nearly perfect. As to the "founder" of the party, she's the person who made the Obama Girl videos Smile

actually you can.

Acorns contain a lot of tannin and need to be prepared to remove the excess before using. However, this tannin gives them a tea and coffe-like quality and they were much used to make drinks in the past. Traditionally the acorns would have been shelled and soaked in a river for several days to leach out the tannins before being roasted.

I say the coffee party is going to be big and that it is a great , great sign. The coffee party, like the tea party, are citizens organizing outside of their corporate sponsored political parties.

The first thing the corporations and the government (same things) will try to do is sneak into these organizations and tak control of them insidiously. They have already begone to do this to the tea party with the money for the tea party convention and the intro of Sarah Palin. I think it is not working as well as they hoped.

Even if it looks like bullshit it will lead some of these Coffee Party people the the truth of the American condition and they will evolve into other groups.

Americans are beginning identify their enemies. Like always they are about 7 to 10 years behind me and my group.

(inless of course the group was started by the government as a counter to the tea party)

@Amigo,
What you don't realize is that the Coffee Party is already underwritten secretly by both Folgers and Starbucks.
