if i go to the tanning salon for one month this year, will i have any negative affects from that?

It's very possible. You can get skin cancer from tanning salons.
How old are you?
They say that sun damage done to teens is what really shows up on the face in the mid 40's.
If anything, cover your face! you can buy bronzers, tanners and makeup that will give you that glow you want.
