You know I love snow. I know you get enough there to make even ME happy - but we have another winter storm coming. I do not want to jinx it though...but I am SO excited.

I know. I am a silly woman.

but still...I love it.

Your beans and ham with cornbread sound wonderful. I hope you found your appetite.

Hugs you
mis

change of plans.

and 4 inches of new snow...

gonna stay here and remove old nasty drywall from the bathroom.

and re-insulate to keep the cold air out.

10 degrees today. -6 wind chill.

but thursday starts a warmup that ends in the 70's...

gram will be pleased.

@Rockhead,
You don't want any of our rain, do you?

Even the ducks are fed up with it.

@Lordyaswas,
be alright if it didn't make ice.

judging from the skid marks in the snow of the median strip as I drive down the interstate, the body shops are booming.

my heating bill will require smelling salts...

@mismi,
Ours was quite scary....I can't imagine if I lived where it actually was really cold most of the time.

Hey - have you heard about Powerfreedom? Some kind of plans to build your own solar panels and get off the grid? Just wondered if that kind of thing really works.

@mismi,
most of the snow should melt today while I am busy inside the arena.

that's good. all of the crap on the roads leads to grief. I caught a big rock yesterday with the windshield of the bonneville.

gotta arrange to have it fixed tomorrow before it spreads. the new glass for the heads up display is stupid expensive...

after gram's early morning dentist appointment yesterday, I helped Josh paint his pickup truck. today he will be laying out graphic panels on it.

if I get an afternoon lunch break I will slide by and take a peek. and maybe some pix...

@mismi,
I'll have to look at it.

one of my cohorts has a solar charger on his bus. his generator is bad and he is creatively lazy...

I arranged him a german unit for rebuilding. we will tackle it as it warms up. and he will help me reassemble the vert so I can be rid of it.

gotta hit the bathtub and head for town...

it is just now light, but we are already edging over freezing.

tomorrow starts another bout of winter.

this week was a gift. and I made use of it mostly...

got brownie all cleaned up and ready to go. bought a cheap used battery so I can keep the good one for the red truck.

but there has been a problem appear...

what was a slow coolant leak is now a fast one. from the two core plugs on the right side behind the motor mount and the starter.

it froze this winter...

probably will be ok with two new soft plugs, but maybe not.

gonna call the guy and let him decide what he wants to do. not going down on my price. I can crush it for $100 less, and keep several hundred dollars worth of parts.

gotta run to the post office in Bart and see if my dupe title has arrived.

if so, by Monday Ima get paid one way or the other...

and be cold again.

no title yet...

but brownie looks as good as it has in years, and since I had my detailing stuff out, I went over Bart with the works.

verra nice.

the guy picking up the mail from the post office even complimented me on it...

gonna say goodbye to shirtsleeve weather and come in to focus on dinner.

mebbe some sprouts...

and he wants to pay me to fix the water leak on brownie.

actually the outcome I was hoping for. kinda...

work is sparse just yet, and my credit is good with ol' bob to use the lift a little. a coupla extra hundred for brownie will ease my pain a little.

now I hafta hope that it's not a cracked block. but if it is, the crusher is right next door, and I can strip it on the lift first.

and I hauled him a barrel of oil, so the heater will be cranking again as winter settles back in.

as long as I can limp brownie over there on Monday, all will be well. I can drive the pontiac home for now, and not need a ride out.

off to work on making my guts behave.

don't need any jokers in my deck...

spent the day working on my bathroom with chuck.

we're ready to remove and reset the tub next time. and then start drywall work.

been a while since I pulled up tar paper flooring underlayment...

I still have a mess to clean up, and supper to figger out.

but chuck brought me an interesting offer of a place to live in town, not far from gram.

and no rent, just repairs on the adjoining properties. gonna check it out next time I go do for her...

people suck...

I twice tried to drive brownie to town. nope. gets too hot too fast.

so I set up to use the tow dolly.

had to come in and use the phone, so I left my stuff set for fifteen minutes or so. on return, my straps for the dolly were gone...

sons of bitches.

now the dolly is useless until I have some new straps made...

so I called in a favor. Shane is gonna bring the big trailer up tomorrow or wednesday from wellington, and we will drive the truck on, chain it down, and tow it to it's demise. for a C note.

not gonna bother trying to fix it. I'm pretty certain that the block is cracked. straight water and sub-zero temps conspired against me. I'll gather my losses and cash in before iron prices drop again...

damnit.
