@FOUND SOUL,
Very dramatic photographs - thank you Foundy. Yes, it's tragic that so much of the UK, including Somerset, is under water - but not a lot we can do about it except try to remain positive, and attempt to get the Government and EA to work together in the hope that future flooding on such a scale can be prevented.

Like Annis, we're getting rain water sweeping in through the back and front doors - seem to spend a large amount of time mopping it up, and drying off a very wet and muddy dog. Guess it keeps us busy!

And the high water table is playing havoc with the bottom of our garden - standing water just hasn't drained off at all for days now.

But we are better off than those who live on low lying land - my heart goes out to the poor people who've been evacuated from their homes - their faces tell such a heartbreaking story. And the animals ... ah, what can I say!

@vonny,
Well vonny, sad as it is, if you have a Riverview Cottage what better than to view the river half way up your lounge walls.

@vonny,
The flooding looks horrible. To all in the UK, stay safe and take care. As much as I hate snow I'd rather have that than the liquid form. At least it can be moved out of the way. We are due about 12 inches on Thursday...and I won't complain one bit.

@Stormwatch,
Our heat wave is continuing relentlessly, 43 plus (110 US degrees). hottest summer ever with bushfires everywhere causing losses of homes, stock and wild life. Just horrible.

@FOUND SOUL,
Dear Crew

I received a phone call from Anna this morning with sad news and she has asked that I speak to the crew.

Danny is gradually slipping away and will soon find his peace.

I would ask at this time for you all to give your thoughts and prayers for Danny and for his family, Anna and Michael, who have been with him all day and will be with him over the coming days as he comes to rest.

@Izzie,
OH Izzie. I have been praying that he is at peace with whatever the outcome. What will we do without our Danny?

My heart is broken. Please tell Anna next time you talk to her that we (the family and I) have been praying for them both and will continue to be praying.

Love my Dear Dutchy.

I hate words in this particular instance - there are none that can express what my heart is feeling. Thank you Izzie. Bless that precious man. Courageous, strong, such a fighter and what an amazing heart he has....

I will miss him more than I can say.
