@Rockhead,
Guess I'll have to copy and paste your last post and add it to the mail, being delivered to Dutchy on Monday Smile

Did you find your horse?

@FOUND SOUL,
my horse is a big black ford pickup truck.

and it wasn't like lost lost, it was lost from service...

that was priority one this morning. dropped the fuel tank and did surgery. reinstalled the tank and headed for gram's to shower away the inevitable smell of gasoline that comes with that particular job.

then put on my dress clothes and went to work the symphony.

we had an awesome show.

and my russian is improving.

ok, nyet very much.

but I met the most gorgeous little ballerina.

she can lean forward and lift her leg behind her back to touch her nose with her toe...

wow.

tonight's performance went very smoothly.

and the weather was much less exciting on exit...

weirdest of all, 4th gear returned for the drive home. which means I may get away with replacing a shift solenoid instead of the whole transmission.

mebbe...

and I started positioning myself for my next gig.

the circus.

I think I am going to be on a spotlight...

Better on it than in it.

@Ticomaya,
if your folks did the symphony this weekend, they can tell you about my stage presence.

stopped and got a pizza pie just before they closed. it's rewarming in the oven. got goat cheese to top it with.

after my headache settles down.

today almost felt like work at the end.

everything had to go down the pit elevator and then to hell and back under the stage.

but we had fun. and got paid.

and I stopped up a leaky heater core for a coworker before we started our shift.

so my good deed meter is pegged as well...

stinky is in need of some lap time. he's not used to me acting employed.

funny.

I was just the other day starting to cogitate on whether or not I want to do some small character roles or not.

I don't want to sing, and most of the local roles are musical in nature.

I will continue cogitating.

and trying to angle for a spotlight gig at the circus. it's up north nearer to my happy little home.

and seven performances...

that would brighten my march considerably.

I would still be sleeping but for a stage call...

Jeff Dunham on Saturday at the arena.

means I gotta go shovel a path out later. when it warms up to 12...

what a long day this one was...

but it's done.

sitting here with a cuppa bedtime tea and a lonely lap cat.

gonna watch a few british comedies until I can crash, prolly in the recliner.

Dunham's new act is good. I especially enjoyed peanut's puppet "little jeff".

nothing on the radar now until lady antebellum. unless the circus surprises me...

@Rockhead,
I love Jeff Dunham - how cool that you got to do his show.

@mismi,
fffreezing rain falling as I left the city.

putting on some beans to soak overnight.

ham n beans and cornbread tomorrow night...

I gotta say that the most fun I've had recently was working the cirque thing with the russian flying dude. sasha.

we had a lot of down time before and during the performance, and he talked a lot about growing up over there as a performer.

and he admired my hat...

recovery day.

my house smells awesome. mexican style ham and pintos bubbling on the stove. (cheap version, no real chilis)

hoping my appetite comes around...

gonna make some GF cornbread to go with.

the world is still very white here. no warmup expected for a while.

but the larder is stocked, and I don't have to be anywhere until tomorrow some time.

I think mebbe Ima tackle making my printer work. gonna need it soon...

@Rockhead,
We saw the "Little Jeff" character at Dunhams new show In Reading Pa in Jan. At first I was pissed because it seemed to be an actual commercial . I was sitting there bitching to my BIL about how crass was this, then all of a sudden the dummy turned on him and it was a hilarious bit.
My one sister in Law was going to take her grandkids (they are 9 and 7) . She was glad she didn't because Dunham can be kinda blue in the show circuit. They clean it up a bit for Comedy Central.
