The police rang me yesterday to tell me that the man who raped me (my mum's friend) got off free of chage and now he keeps texting me threating texts and my mum has made friends with him now I'm just shaking uncontrollably. I don't know what to do.

The meaning could be clearer if she wrote:

I was raped by my mom's friend. The police rang me yesterday to tell me that he was not going to be charged with a crime (or that he was found not gulity of the crime). He keeps sending me threatening text messages. My mom is still friends with him and I'm terribly afraid. What can I do?

I hope this girl is okay and this is just a writing exercise because I'm afraid for her too if this is a real life situation.
