Yes, Walter, i pointed out to Rosoner that the camps were run by the SD, and not the SS per se--it will help his/her rant to have a patina of accuracy . . .

Hitler may have actually saved the world from total destruction, at the price of a less destruction. Without any Hitler, Stalin would have noone to interfere with his plan of destroying Europe and the rest of the world. If Hitler had never existed, Stalin would have not been busy defending his brutal regime from Nazis, and with this distraction, could have inflicted destruction many times greater than Hitler ever did.

Hitler was literally a Saint compared to Stalin. I'm sure if Europeans had to chose, they would rather be under Nazi protection rather than Bolshevik oppression.

Welcome to A2K, Someone!

You might have a rather unusual perspective of sainthood ... and certainly don't know European history by own experience.

Someone, what is your point? That we should be 'glad' as Europeans that it was Hitler and not Stalin who killed our family members, friends, neighbors?

Gives a "bottom line" for Bush to say, "I haven't gone that low......."

heres a bit of controversy to get you all quacking

what about......
hitler was good for jews and did them a favour cos if he hadnt gassed 6 million of em, then they would probably never have got israel back Exclamation
plus if it wasnt for hitler we probably would not have a united europe or a united nations
maybe it took someone to do something that terrible to get people to wake up and work together for the greater love of all
ps im not saying what hitler did was a good thing ok Razz

heres a bit of controversy to get you all quacking some more

what about......
Because of hitlers gassing, jews are now not being attacked enough for their heinous crimes and were payed great sums of money for their terrorism in a territory which was already inhabited for many decades by other tribes and cultures
plus if it wasn't for hitler we probably would have a united europe or a united nations, just created from a smashed france or germany. A military strong europe.
It still takes one dictator to do what's right for a country. To grow strong in all it's aspects
ps im not saying what hitler did was a bad thing, all despotic rules rock, if hitler had cut down on the jews, he would have gotten himself a mussolini grave or something

"Jews"? In the same sense as Dutroux is "typically Belgian"?

Don't you mean here: 'PS I'm not saying what Hitler did was a GOOD thing'? Or: 'PS I AM saying what Hitler did was a bad thing'?

Jews as in Israel's actions. Representing the jewish population. A statement simular to stating americans elected Bush and Bush is doing what americans want.

I said I won't say it's a bad thing. I mean: It's good nor bad. I don't believe in those moral values in retrospect. It's as subjective as love, in retrospect, I have never loved. When I distance myself sufficiently from my situation in life, I will find myself not loving anybody either. All morality is biased and irreal. Things occur perfectly they way they should, they cannot go any other way. But this involves a wider view on life I have. Let's keep it simple and say that the latter would be an incorrect statement. So, you could say I meant the first statement(which I do), but this again means nothing because it simply states that I state nothing Wink

(annoying isn't it? Smile
