52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.

44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.

Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.

52 percent?

Isn’t that the same margin he won the election by?

@gungasnake,
Obama just needs some small country in which to murder a hundred thousand or so innocents. That'll quickly get him back in the good graces of the American people.

@gungasnake,
That is one of those meaningless polls. I bet 65% thought Bush didn't deserve reelection in 2004 but faced with Bush or Kerry, many of them voted for Bush.

@gungasnake,
No, more along the lines of Chile, Nicaragua, Vietnam, The Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan, ... .

@gungasnake,
How many respondents say the Republicans do deserve replacing Obama?

@JTT,
Iraq and Afghanistan or at least the leaders of those places blew up a major section of downtown Manhatten and then poisoned the US senate office building with anthrax.

You used the word "innocent"; the only innocent country which the US has done any serious ahrm to in recent years would be Serbia.

Your ignorance knows no bounds. Neither the leaders of Iraq nor the leaders of Afghanistan had anything to do with the events of 9-11.

But let's just imagine for a brief moment that they did. In your eyes that now makes the civilian population of Iraq and Afghanistan culpable.

As Long John Baldry's sister said, "Don't worry, John, there are way more out than in.

@JTT,
The first anthrax cases turned up ten miles from where Atta & co. were living and days after 9-11 so that the connection between the anthrax attacks and the 9-11 jackers is obvious. The ONLY nations which ever had weapon anthrax programs were the US, Russia, England, and Iraq. Now, what do you think would have happened to Atta and his crew had they just walked up to British, Russian, or American authorities and asked to purchase or borrow some weapon anthrax?? Think really hard... Moreover Czechs have stuck with their story about observing Atta and one of Saddam Hussein's spy masters in Prague in the summer of 01.

There is no ******* way we could allow anybody to just skate with something like that and Saddam had fifty body doubles and never slept in the same place twice. The two real options were nuke the place, or go into it. Moreover we needed to go into Iraq the day after that first anthrax attack and were not able to due to the state which SlicKKK KKKlinton had left our military in, we had to build for two years first.

@gungasnake,
As Long John Baldry's sister said, "Don't worry, John, there are way more out than in."

And John replied: "I have found her observation to be so true."

I concur, John.

You have the temerity to write this nonsense, Gunga, and you actually put within, "Think really hard". Isn't that hilarious?

I realize it's a CNN poll gunga, but it is meaningless since we don't just eliminate the presidency if we don't like the current one. We have to choose if we like him BETTER than his opponent.

The political landscape is full of people currently in office who would have more than 50% thinking they shouldn't be reelected but they are there because the choice was more palatable to reelect them.
