Please get a grip, ehBeth - I'm not the British Home Office, and I have no opinion whatever on the woman's rights of abode in the United Kingdom, let alone her status as either a citizen or an illegal alien there. I have attempted to be fair-minded about this, even though Brown continues to disgust me. I already posted the link to the Home Office page on citizenship in this thread. To repeat what i've already posted here (and i've conceded that she is a British citizen), according to the Home Office web site, anyone born in England before January 1, 1983 "is almost certainly a British citizen."

I'm not being disingenuous at all, and in fact have conceded that this woman is a British citizen because of the evidence provided. I'd also point out that Brown is an ignorant asshole who doesn't know the first thing about genetics.

Of course, that shouldn't be considered news, either.

How much clearer can it be, i've said it again and again? Brown will call other people racists at the drop of a hat--all they need to do is disagree with him, or criticize immigrants, anywhere, any time. You're supposed to be a bright boy, i should not have needed to explain that to you.

very true Set, the problem (as I see it) is that the "race" concept has been accepted by popular culture to such an extent that almost everyone has come to accept it as a valid scientific criteria.
