@panzade,
I think you will! Originally, I was just going to reply with this Very Happy but I was told the message was too short by the hamster.

An interesting new version of a 1990's British pop song.

@Setanta,
Sung by the great Jeff Lynne.

Probably one of the most, if not THE most overlooked talents of the modern music era.

There's another one of those documentaries somewhere that I'll dig out for you, Set.

I think originals are still better than covers unless it's in a form of a remix or something like that.

@alicemenezes,
There are some exceptions though.

Which one do you honestly prefer?

The original?.....

Or the cover?.....

@Lordyaswas,
If I was looking for an example to prove your point.
It would be that one.

@tsarstepan,
This is a good version though Bonnie's has that recognizable Hornsby touch that endears me to it.

Quote:
Although Bruce Hornsby had no hand in writing the song, his piano part on it became associated with him (Phil Collins described it as instantly recognizable as Hornsby's work).[9] On his own subsequent tours, Hornsby has included the song in some of his set lists, sometimes letting a female backing singer in his band take on the vocal and sometimes singing it himself.

@glitterbag,
I can’t stand the rain was originally recorded by Ann Peebles who cowrote with two other people. Ann was born in 1947 and had a long career. I loved her voice and so did John Lennon who also loved the song. Why she never had another hit is a mystery.
