I hope I didn't present this here before although I have the sinking feeling that I did. Gorgeous voice.

I am not saying that Jennifer Warnes' version is better than Leonard Cohen's because it would be difficult to beat the Live in London performance (watch Sharon Robinson to see a living definition of energy), but she makes the words easier to catch.

I want to introduce you to amazing woman named Ruthie Foster. Here, she outdoes Adele in Adele's own song: LEt It Burn. I think Ruthie's version changes the meaning of the lyrics somewhat.

Here, Ruthie takes the June Carter/Johnny Cash standard and makes it into a ballad. You could use this as a wedding song.

This is a BeeGees' song done by much better singers. I never liked the BeeGees. I saw them once on television and was hysterical with laughter

You post them here. Sometimes, the crude/odd re-imaging of a song sounds better to my ears than the original one.

I never liked the BeeGees.

I saw them on a PBS concert and was transfixed by their singing and song writing talent.
To each their own I guess.
