While this version lacks the lurid sexuality of the original, these young guys are a great band in the style of Haight Ashbury circa 1967.

the melody is quite old; a Gaelic melody called Bunessan. Then a Christmas carol Child In The Manger

Wow! That is fascinating to know that was the original melody (and sung by Sarah Brightman). It was the melody Cat Stevens used (as the cover) on 'Morning Has Broken'.
