I am writing an essay about average distance in miles travelled per person, by modes of travel and there are just so many modes to be included. In order to avoid repetition, I try to tell similar ideas of " distance travelled per person by car/by bus/by bicycle" in different words or phrases. The problem is that I can only come up with two" the number of miles travelled by car; the distance of people traveling by bus." I am out of it by now. But I still have taxi, train...to cover. How should I put these ideas in appropriate and different versions?
Help me!
@Adverb,
Would graphs help you illustrate it better?
@Adverb,
You might write 'the distance travelled by vehicle either using a motor or a non-motorized powered vehicle and then perhaps by multi-person vehicle as well. This might be more accurate. A bike is a vehicle, but clearly not a car.
Also, adding to that list are motorcycles, motorbikes, scooters.
You could focus on the earnings of the taxi and train industries. I am sure you could find out the gross income of these two businesses.
