SOME WEB RESOURCES . . .
Welcome to A2K!

Here are some Web Resources about slavery and the slave trade in Great Britain:

* Multimedia Assignment Bank: Abolition
Select the Abolition Section of the site and the Olaudah Equiano item in the left menu for study questions pertaining to Equiano's Narrative. (Site created by Professor Charles Hannon, Gettysburg College, for the Norton Anthologies of American and African American Literature)
* Phillis Wheatley and Olaudah Equiano
Biographies, study questions, and links to quality sites pertaining to the authors. (Norton Websource to American Literature)
* Africans in America
This site, hosted by PBS Online, offers a good bibliography of works pertaining to slavery and abolition.
* Maritime Museum
Liverpool's Merseyside Maritime Museum offers an online "Slavery History Trail" which traces the impact of the slave trade on the city.
* Maritime Heritage Society
"A Slave Ship Speaks: The Wreck of the Henrietta Marie," presented by the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society, is a fascinating site that uses marine archaeology to investigate the conditions aboard a slave ship.

Type the starred phrases into a search engine. Hopefully, they will come up. Good luck!
