Not that Cuba is the richest nation in the Western Hemisphere. We can afford to help Haiti.
U take communist propaganda seriously?
Then go to a mental hospital in Red Cuba.

That is another question altogether; I do not deny that we HAVE the $$,
but it belongs to those people from whom the IRS stole it.
That $$ is for THEIR delight, not the Hatians.

The US government has ONLY the jurisdiction
conferred to it by the Constitution; nowhere therein
is government granted power to rob American citizens
of their property and to give it to any damned aliens.

That 's humorous about Castro sending the M.D.s from Cuba;
how many of them do u think he' d expect to ever see again ???

Do think Castro knows about his slaves escaping to freedom ??

Which part do you quibble with, and where is your evidence?

"The 1.5 years of bombing and death." Really? Eighteen months? The 2nd world war started in 1939 everywhere but America. Germany invaded Poland in September, and Britain started bombing Germany in December 1939. I don't need to fill in the whole of the rest of the war, I hope, but basically by May 1945 when they surrendered, the Germans has been losing soldiers in battle for 5 years and 8 months, and had been suffering bombing for 5 years 6 months.

TO: Whoever put the tag that says "mean spirited carping"
on this thread, I have this suggestion:
donate exactly as much of YOUR MONEY to Hati as u want them to have
and let everyone else donate as much of HIS money as he wants to give them on a voluntary basis,
and let everyone else KEEP his money for his own fun
or to donate anywhere else that he wishes to give it and repeal all foreign aid.

@contrex,
I didn't consider your response to be quibbling--the difference between more than five years and a mere eighteen months--that clown is an incredible idiot.

However, i will quibble now. The Second World War in Europe began in September, 1939. It began much earlier in Africa and in China.

It did, because it celebrates the ROBBERY of Americans.

I am an anti-robbery kind of guy.

He who did that is focused on the Hatians.
I am focused on the AMERICANS, whose property is sought to be extorted.

My David the last time I walk the streets of my city I did not see mothers and fathers taking their dead bodies of their children to the graves yards to dig the graves with their own hands.

Or bodies rotting in the remains of their homes or on the sidewalks for that matter.

Perhaps you live in an American city that this kind of wide spread suffering in happening now as in Haiti that I was not aware of.

If so you are dead right we need to help those citizens out first so please name this area of suffering so we can address it.

@OmSigDAVID,
99.999 percent of the Cuba doctors returning back to Cuba if they need to remain in Haiti instead of finding their way to the US at a guess David.

Poor baby your property rights oh my yes that mean we should not help out when people are dying in mass right off our shores because of your property rights.

How could I be so wrong to care about these poor black men women and children dying when your property rights are in some form of danger.

Now the US is being accused of "occupying" Haiti.

@mysteryman,
Because Obama figured out that he had no choice but to send in the military, because they are the only people who can get the job done. It is up the the Haitian elite to bring the public along, make them understand that this is required.

If they don't then **** them. Last rights to the dead are highly important to the Haitians, yet they can load up dump trucks with bodies and dump them into a pit without even knowing the names because there is no other way. The Haitians can get over the american military on the ground.....if they want to.

@mysteryman,
reports today are that we will increase boots on the ground by 2-3,000 from what was planned, plus the UN will send some. Before the plan was 10k in the effort, but most of them would be on ships at sea, for whatever good that does anybody.

Still unknown by me is what they will be doing....is this some BS where they will be confined to the airport?

Most news outlets today had American troops maintaining security along with Haitians in the streets of the capital.

@hawkeye10,
There are about 6000 people an an aircraft carrier, and news reports say that there is one on its way.
That carrier has a full hospital, helicopters capable of ferrying injured out and relief supplies in.
It also has the capability to make about 3000 gallons of fresh water a day with its own water supply.
The Hospital ship Mercy is on its way.
That is a fully equipped hospital, one that rivals the best shore based hospitals.

@mysteryman,
I am recalling that we sent a carrier to Indonesia, as well. It had an enormous capacity to produce pure, fresh drinking water. It was like sending a potable river. They sent it on its way because Indonesia does not allow nuclear weapons within its territory, and noone was going to state that it did or did not carry such weapons. I don't know how this will play out with whatever national policies they have in place.

The hospital ship should prove priceless.

@hawkeye10,
Somehow I question anyone with a baby or any other love one in danger of dying if help does not reach them in short order is going to give a **** where that help is comng from!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes the right wingers on the Fox network when they look hard enough can find someone in Haiti to made silly statements however the problem is not in Haiti the problem is in the hard hard hearts of the right wingers who would wish to find reasons not to help hundred of thousands of human beings in great need.

The right wing movement care about unborn children but when a hundred thousands or so babies and children are at risk of dying they could care less.

There is an evilness behind this movement that Limbaugh is the main spoke person for that go beyond human understanding.
