Yes, it's very sad. I hope they get some help soon. There are so many countries where people are suffering for various reasons.
This morning I watched the Panama Finance Minister (an interview) talking about the South American migrants going through her country on their way to North America. She calls the 21st century "The century of migration". They set up migrant stations in 2016 for the Venezuelan migration so they have refitted them. Migrants can stay there, shore up and then continue. What a lovely gesture. She has been asking other countries to do the same.
This is not the solution. America cannot keep taking everybody in. Canada could take a lot more as our country isn't as inhabited, but still, it's not the solution.
Look at all the various peoples fleeing their countries and those who have accepted them. The camps in Greece are a disgrace, Denmark wants to send the Moroccans back, Spain has thousands, as has Germany... it's a right bloody mess.
And then to add to that all these climate change events.
