Tropical storm Grace is about to cross over the island.

Yes, it's very sad. I hope they get some help soon. There are so many countries where people are suffering for various reasons.

This morning I watched the Panama Finance Minister (an interview) talking about the South American migrants going through her country on their way to North America. She calls the 21st century "The century of migration". They set up migrant stations in 2016 for the Venezuelan migration so they have refitted them. Migrants can stay there, shore up and then continue. What a lovely gesture. She has been asking other countries to do the same.

This is not the solution. America cannot keep taking everybody in. Canada could take a lot more as our country isn't as inhabited, but still, it's not the solution.

Look at all the various peoples fleeing their countries and those who have accepted them. The camps in Greece are a disgrace, Denmark wants to send the Moroccans back, Spain has thousands, as has Germany... it's a right bloody mess.

And then to add to that all these climate change events.

For the US, the answer is to stop with the imperialism and help these countries build. We cause the migrations for the most but don't want the resulting migration. Rather than imprison them or toss them out it would be better to let them in and work and pay taxes. In fact our small towns have been crying for their kind of help.

We are not in any way responsible for any migrations whatsoever.

It is not imperialism when we protect our own interests, and we are not going to stop doing so.

That said, I'm fine with letting more immigrants settle in this country so long as they are willing to contribute to society instead of trying to undermine it.

Hopefully it will fall apart first.
