This afternoon my dog was looking lethargic and vomited. My local vet told me to bring it in tomorrow morning, but it died this evening. When it died it bled from it's intestines; and in retrospect, I realized the color of the dog's vomit was red. I'd thought it was just her dog food which is kind of red; but now I think it may have been blood red. What would cause that to happen? Internal bleeding? Maybe she eat something she wasn't supposed to? Or got a disease? Does anyone know?
@Muarck,
Firstly, let me give you my gravest condolences. I'm really sorry to hear this news and my heart aches for you.
How old or young was your dog?
@tsarstepan,
I'm sorry to read this. Please accept my condolences. Will your vet perform an necropsy? Sometimes they will do a cursory check.

Sorry about your loss. Perhaps poisoning, who knows? Ask the vet.
(PS. to David: sometimes saying or typing the NAME is too painful.
Shehe needs compassion right now)

She has my compassion; I just thought that
the way she wrote that sounds as tho the pooch were
an inanimate object of neuter gender, instead of a living being.
@jespah,
Well, now the Vet's doing a "Dog Autopsy" to see what happened. But the vet said he thought it was "Parvo?" She was really young and for parvo they get a series of shots, she hadn't completed all her shots yet. Anyway thanks for the condolences.
@Muarck,
I'm sorry about your dog, Muarck.
I will be interested to know what the vet says.
@Muarck,
Any chance she's been around rat poison? One type uses wayfarin, which works by keeping the blood from clotting.
@roger,
I kind of doubt it. She ran around outside sometimes. But never went far and was always in a hurry to get right back in the house. Thanks for the note though. It does seem like a viable solution.
@Muarck,
Muarck my sympathy is extended towards you and your dog.
