@panzade,
I prefer my growlers with a sanitary lid.
BTW, I Googled Pilser's. All I can find is eBay reference.
Must be outta biz. I hate it when a beer company dies.

So sad. . .

I haven't heard anyone use the term growler for nigh on 40 years.

We use that terminology regularly out West.

I can get my growler filled at Safeway, with some very good regional ales. They usually have Dogfish Head 60 minute on tap.

@George,
Harpoon, by the way, brewed some years ago a local beer from here (15 minutes away)
https://beermenus.s3.amazonaws.com/beer_labels/8069/harpoon-pott-s-landbier.png

In reverse, they brewed in barrique barrels a "Harpoon-style" beer

margo was the last A2K'er having visited this brewery (but not the first Australian A2K'er Wink )

@panzade,
I can't, I've never heard of it. I've got a lot of home brewed cider at the moment. One lot is rocket fuel, the other lot I've still to try. I've only got 5 gallons.

@panzade,
All in all including sugar yeast and electricity it worked out about a tenner, or two quid a gallon.
