years ago, my aunt, you may remember my stories about my almost 101 year old aunt.. suggested I be a travel writer like those lonely planet people.
We did have a travel writer at a2k, my old a2k/abuzz friend PaolaL. She and her husband wrote some serious european guide books. I'd give her name but that still seems edging on wrong to me.
I fear having to travel write might kill the fun for me.
Anyway, I had two jobs I did like for quite a while each, the first being a head research tech with a good crew including the lead doc, and as a landscape architect, with others and on my own. Both jobs had flaws, and I had flaws. But I loved the kernals of 'working things out' in both jobs. More autonomy in the architect years.
If I had a dream job, it would be to be left to design in peace after being given the criteria (they call them parameters, I call them perimeters) and be recompensed well for it. In other words, playing and paid for it.
