@shewolfnm,
Have you looked into her throat? It's possible that she has tonsil stones. They are caused when food gets stuck in pockets in the tonsils. Some people have larger pockets. They can smell bad. I had one once. The ENT just popped it out.

Here's more info: http://www.healthhype.com/tonsil-stones-removal-pictures.html

@shewolfnm,
Gads, was that cute, or what? I imagine J. might become interested in the Neti Pot if she sees you doing it. At any rate, it won't make anything worse!

that's a long part of a young person's life - that's as if I'd had some kinda symptom for over 2 years - long time to wait to get a doc or dentist to check into it

when was the last time a doc looked into her throat/ears/nose ?

I still suspect a foreign object in her nose.

i dont suspect an object because it isnt constant.
Well, not constant as in every day........... but constant as in , waaay too often to just be food, brushing etc.
I did not notice it yesterday for example. In fact her breath was normal all day.

I would think if it was an object, that would not happen. Objects do not stop rotting for a few days on end know what i mean?

Doc office opens in 20 minutes. Getting her in is on my top priority list today.

Just a side comment...

the water seems to be the issue and the solution.
Doctor exam did not bring about anything either. Funny.. he said pretty much the SAME thing that was said here. Laughing

but I notice a difference when she does not get enough fluids.
I have changed her water jug in her lunch box to a larger one and she drains it every day.

Now when she gets up, I wrap her in her blanket and give her something to drink usually water + kids emergen-c package and we drink our 'coffee' in the morning, offering her a little more before she leaves to school an hour later.
When she gets home, same thing.. greeting her with liquid. It seems to help. A lot..
