Care to share your little decisions for 2010?

New years resultions are a no-no.

You make big plans, you tell people about them ... then have egg all over your face by the 14th of January. (If not earlier!) And feel like a complete failure ... Neutral

And who needs that?

So, in anticipation of 2010, I've decided to make little decisions instead. Taking my inspiration from Paul Kelly's song (of the same name):

Little decisions are the kind I can make
Big resolutions are so easy to break ..

I'm going to aim for a few things that just might ( Wink ) be do-able. And see how I go with them.

What about you?
Are you making a few little decisions/teeny resolutions of your own? (Or BIG ones, even? Hey, you're allowed!)
Wanna share them with us?

How about: We'll tell you ours if you tell us yours!

(Yes, yes, I know we haven't even had Christmas yet! But ya gotta think a head to get ahead! Right? Very Happy )

@msolga,
Hmmm? Le me ponder this short term planology through at least one night's sleep and I'll report back to you tomorrow.

OK!

(Nothing too serious, like swearing off buying any more red shoes in 2010! Shocked That would be too much! And un-do-able!)

I am going to try (very hard!) to make serious inroads into my woeful procrastination problem! I would love to waltz into any given appointment cool, calm & collected ... as opposed to a flying, flustered arrival. Just making it by the seat of my pants. Now this would be progress!!!! Very Happy

I'm sure I'll think of others, but this is a very, very positive start! Smile

@msolga,
(While all the rest of you are thinking things over ...)

Another thing I'd really like to be able to do is say "no" more often & with considerably less guilt ... when it's something I really don't want to do, but feel I "should". I'm getting better at this but still have quite a way to go. I'd like to get good at this! Smile

New Years resolutions have never been a thing for me. I have only half heartedly tried to come up with a few in my lifetime. This year, I had not even had a trace of a thought of it on my mind before I saw this thread. I just don't see myself changing anything this year.

I think I've just made another resolution: The next time I consider starting a thread about resolutions for the following year ... to talk myself out of it quickly! Not a good idea at all! Laughing

I am not -- absolutely NOT -- going to read any post on any A2K thread that
has anything to do with religion.

. . . and this time I mean it.

I didn't think it was possible but I've decided to be even more cynical and give a **** even less. The idea is to keep lowering the bar until disappointment becomes impossible. I'm not optimistic however.

@msolga,
I'm still trying to get a job of some kind.

But, for the past several weeks, I'm waiting for an old snow shovelling injury from last winter to re-heal itself.

@George,
Just noticed your signature. Funnnneee. Yep, lots of music. I dedicated Adeste Fideles to you on the radio thread.

Reyn, you'll find something and soon.
