Who are like-minded pundits you don't really like?

Birds of a feather do flock together ... allegedly. But I'm wondering, are there any pundits on your side of the political spectrum that you don't like? That you find ineffective or humorless or ineffectively humorless?

Example: When I hear that either Matt Taibi and Thomas Friedman are on The Daily Show or The Colbert Report, I instinctively roll my eyes and mutter, "oh brother!"

I listen to these guys and I'm thinking they probably have a good point they're making but I sure as heck can draw it out from their message. They're method of delivery and their reasoning is pretty ineffectual ... so much that I automatically tune out when they're trying to deliver their seemingly important message du jour!

And if it's too much to ask for ... can we keep this a relatively civil thread? Or am I just inviting trolls over for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner?

@tsarstepan,
I hate Donna Brazile (sp?). She consistently makes the weakest and worst arguments for Democratic positions.

@Cycloptichorn,
I can't say I've ever had the pleasure or displeasure of hearing her inept arguments.

as much as i often disagree with what they are saying, i'd rather listen to conservative radio hosts than liberals, the liberal folks all sound like bad college radio

my fave is Savage, the man is a complete loon, but damn he's entertaining

@djjd62,
That reminds me... I love to read Dan Savage's Savage Love column but when he popped up onto Real Time with Bill Maher and his other television appearances, he loses something in translation.

Of course, this Savage is different from your Savage [Michael Savage?] by 3000 kilometers, give or take a 1000 kilometers.

@tsarstepan,
I lost respect for Greta Van Susteren when she had the most obvious face-lift in history.

I mean, she was a smart and very attractive female - lovely hair - I noticed it every time I watched her but when she went hollywood - she lost me.

@tsarstepan,
Ayn Rand is not exactly a pundid, and we're not as like-minded today as we were five years ago. But even then, I strongly disliked her writing. It was in a style we Western Europeans know as Socialist Realism, except that she reversed the roles, deified capitalism, and portrayed her statist bad guys as the vermin as which Soviet novelist characterized Westerners. I thought she had a nasty smell about her even when I was a much more hardcore libertarian than I am today.

Other than that, I feel irrationally annoyed when I read the New York Times' Nicholas Kristof, Bob Herbert, and Linda Greenhouse -- all of which are good guys and gals so far as I can tell.

I wrote off Bill Maher. His reasoning is ridiculous and his demeanor is that of the little wimp in the playground who would kick you in the shins and then run away.
He loads his program with those who think as he does. I refuse to watch him ever since he showed a picture of the Pope wearing a Nazi Helmet. That was most distasteful and insulting to Roman Catholics. I keep hoping that Mr. Maher would try such a revolting gimmick with a Muslim Holy Man. I don't think he has the guts to do that since he knows he might be in serious trouble if he did.

Right now, I can't think of a single pundit that I care for on a regular basis.

Do you regard Maher as like-minded? That would surprise me very much. And the Tsar's had explicitly asked which like-minded pundits we don't really like. He hadn't asked about just any old pundit.

Keith Olbermann, I'm not impressed by hyper-ventilation and bombast.

Yes! She's so bad that I don't think I could do it on purpose.

@Robert Gentel,
What do you guys think of Arianna Huffington? I'm barred from trashing her here because she and I are not really like-minded. But if I was more of a liberal I would find her pretty embarrassing.

@Thomas,
I like Arianna Huffington when I see her on Real Time with Bill Maher but I don't feel compelled by her level of argument and reasoning to follow her outside that forum.

@Thomas,
The HuffPo site is cheesy and easy. I do look at it, but somewhat askance. I - liberal with occasional libertarian tendencies - find her personally a little woo-woo, but somewhat enjoy she could build this extravaganza out of her life, after the debacle with her husband.

@Thomas,
When I began watching his program, I thought he came up with some valid ideas.
However, he soon proved that he was a clueless partisan. His gratuitous slap at the Pope was far over the line and was the last straw.

I forgot to mention my deep annoyance with so called academic pundit Malcolm Gladwell. Of all the supposed like minded academics, I find him the least convincing and most annoying.
