@dadpad,
What ended up happening was - my dermo confirmed it was an allegeric reaction of some sort. He told me I could try changing various things or come in for an allergy test - although he said they might not be able to determine.
I did try changing various items I felt were "newer" in my use. No change.
Then I went on vacation. While I was on vacation, my skin cleared up. It brought a sample sized winkle cream lotion for my face rather than the usual one I've been using for years (simply because it smaller). I stopped using my previous cream and haven't had an issue since.
My last visit to the dermo (I go every year for regular skin/birth mark checks) - I mentioned it to him. He asked the products name - Origins. I told him. He said they are a good company and their skin products are good quality (although he feels they are overpriced). He said it could be that the wrinkle creams - you tend to put on areas that are more sensitive - where winkles usually show up first - so he suspects that yes that was the cause.
Then proceeded to tell me products you can buy in a regular drug store that are significantly cheaper and in his opinion work as well or better.
