I can just imagine a gay near-death experience:

"I was floating, and then I saw a golden light, and Jesus came toward me, and he was wearing such cute boots! He gave me some really cool interior-decorating tips, we chatted about Judy Garland, and then he said, 'Your time is not yet; go back and install a really retro kitchen in your apartment"...

I know of a gay man who had a NDE. It didn't differ at all from 'regular' NDEs.

@OmSigDAVID,
Galapogos marine iguanas are able to completely arrest all bodily functions for several tens of minutes and just as quickly revive themselves and go swimming off. Its some sort of yet not understood metabolic mechanism that reserves energy and exchange gases while the iguana is underwater for several hours.
The Point Is. No iguana has ever reported NDE's while sufficiently dead. I dont think that NDE participants were sufficiently dead enough to provide valid data.

That 's what I 'd expect.
I have not yet examined that website,
but I 've never heard of ANY NDE that was in any way sexual.

You've never lived! I've nearly screwed myself to death several times. Maybe you should get some Viagra.

More seriously, sexual NDEs are not unknown.

Quote:
With Peter, I had no inhibitions at all, and I was experiencing for the first time, the most wonderful sex.

One evening, I had an experience of the most incredible feeling. It felt as if every nerve in my body was alive with energy. This was accompanied by the most wonderful feeling of bliss. As the feeling enveloped me, I found myself leaving my body.

[lots of crazy stuff...]

Quote:
They call the orgasm in some circles the little death. For me it was a death and a rebirth. I was never the same after that. I don't think I will ever change either. It was the most amazing experience and one I know I will never forget.

According to that prestigious academic journal, The National Enquirer, Hugh Hefner of Playboy fame had an NDE while fooling around sexually with Playboy Playmate Sondra Theodore.

Quote:
The incident is said to have occurred in 1977 when the pair were using a small sex toy that fell into Hefner's mouth.
The insider adds, "Hef began choking and was about to pass out. Sondra quickly started pumping his chest until the toy was dislodged."

Some people deliberately choke themselves to get better orgasms. This is really dangerous and should be avoided at all costs, as Michael Hutchence discovered.

In any case, why should a gay or lesbian or transgendered person's NDE be any more "sexual" than a straight person's?

Outdoor goldfish have been naturally frozen by the onset of winter,
swimming away in states of good health after several months.

Have u checked them all ?

Did u read my posts qua
ESP resulting from Near Death Experiences ?

It has been attributed to Thomas Edison
that in the last years of his Earthly life, he took an interest
in survival of death. He allegedly approached people in hospitals
who were in the final moments of their respective lives
and put their beds on scales of weight, allegedly discovering
a loss of weight at their time of expiration.

I wish thay 'd replicate that experiment, to confirm or deny it.

I believe that it was Harry Houdini who, after reading EDison, Wallace, and Summers decided to do his communication experiment from the grave.

Can someone give me a plausible explanation of what sexual orientation has to do with what is essentially self-delusion in the first place?

Yes; your point is well taken, to wit: nothing happened.
However, if u r interested enuf
(in my opinion, we shoud all care whether we 'll exist or not)
u might try a fast reading book by Janis Amatuzio, M.D.,
the Coroner of numerous counties in both Minnesota and Wisconsin
for many years, titled "Forever Ours" about her adventures on-the-job
qua survivors who were more fortunate than Houdini 's wife, Mrs. Erik Weisz.
I think that its an interesting read from a respected and interesting lady,
who I met when she lectured at the Mensa Annual Gathering in St. Paul, Minn. in 2003.

The book is available from Amazon.com

@OmSigDAVID,
If I read this book what will I find? (just a bumper sticker will do, I am waay behind on my reading after taking most of a summer "off" and I have much work with which to "catch up").
IS she saying that there is good forensic evidence that we live on after death?

No. She tells of years of the survivors of her customers
who 've told her of surprizing and unexpected evidence
of post-mortem contact -- maybe a little like Patrick Swaze
in Ghost. I read it in the blink of an eye in 2003.

Dr. Amatuzio has a very lite and breezy writing style.

that I don 't recall with much precision; I 'm glad I took the time to read her book tho.

I suspect that when you are dead you no longer have sex organs and the whole issue of sexuality becomes moot.
