I mean, I woke up around 3 AM in a hotel in LA and the whole building was shaking and the first thought I had was something like "Wow, must be one hell of a wind storm to be shaking the building like this!" and then I thought "Oh, ****, this is California, isn't it, this is actually an earthquake..."
It died down after about about fifteen minutes and I never heard people running to get outside and went back to sleep. Next morning if it had been my building I'd have been checking it brick by brick, but there was no evidence that anybody cared or was concerned at all.
