What where the major factors responsible for the exploration and settlement of the colonies?

interesting, I just got a PM from the above poster, it said "**** off my page idiot" I'm guessing he/she isn't all that interested in the colonies.

Did you translate that from Eourpean spelling to American?
Learning to spell American and European would be a good start. Making a rational distinction between the history of European colonization and "Americans" and "Natives" would be the logical next step.
