@CalamityJane,
I'm a little late in explaining this, Calamity - 'pacco' is italian for package, short for "gift package" - in my miserable contrived italian, Pacco dono. Best chanted several times in a row, like a choo choo train, while he ran toward me. (Did you ever see the movie, Dodes ka den by Kurosawa? title taken from train sound, or so I heard.)

'Paco' is short in Spanish for Francisco, as is 'Pancho'. Since whole batches of my pals are from southern california and know at least some spanish, I keep finding myself with other takes about the pacc's name. Same with ossobuco.. I can't tell you how many call me 'ossobucco', apparently the german word for the dish from emilia romagna - which I rue the day of ever choosing as a name in the first place.

This is not a corrective but to clarify..

How is Lily today?

@ossobuco,
Pacco fit him so well, he really looked like a "pacco" and he was one too Very Happy
Thanks for clarifying this osso. Yes, we (Germans) would call you ossobucco,
after that great Italian dish.

Lilly is doing great (still isn't housebroken though), a really sweet dog who
didn't deserve to be dropped off at the animal shelter. She's way too sweet
for that and eager to please her masters too.

Here she is laying on my extra long curtains where she thinks it's made for her

@CalamityJane,
I like extra long curtains too... though being only a human, I don't usually loll about on them like Lily does.

@CalamityJane,
Cutie Lily!

Is she a Maltese? Did you see that video of a Maltese rescued from a shelter, so very frightened, just needing a hug?

I'll try to find it again if you like.

Sniffles here, too, on that video. Of course I have to wonder what people did to that little dog, to make her act that way.

At least she's much happier now! I love a happy ending.
