@jcboy,
aawww, he is cute indeed. I am so glad that puppy fell into good hands,
hes' got it made at your house, even if it should be only temporary until the
owners are found.

@CalamityJane,

the owners of that pup desperately need a stern lecture on how to properly care for one...

@Region Philbis,
I talked with my neighbor, she thinks he belonged to a family that were moving last night out of a house a couple blocks down the street. Now I wonder if they abandoned him. I’m going to have to get some puppy food, he can’t eat our adult dogs food.

@CalamityJane,
We just picked up some puppy food. Another neighbor confirmed he lived with the family that just moved out. I don’t understand how people can just leave an animal like that. If you can’t take him with you at least try to find a home for him.

I’m going to have to get him to the vet, we don’t know if he’s been vaccinated.

Antonio is calling him Paco!

@jcboy,
He looks like a Paco - good name!

I don't understand things like this either. Our dog is a member of the family,
spoiled rotten and pampered, I would never leave any animal behind.

@jcboy,
aawww how cute! You have hardwood floors, so house breaking shouldn't
be so difficult either. You better reinforce that fence of yours...and make sure he won't be able to get out the front door, or put a fence around there too!

I foresee so many trips to home depot in your future! Laughing

@jcboy,
I have a feeling something was going on with that family, maybe they were running fast, so to speak, re money or other situation., given that he seems cared for up until then. Maybe one parent won, re the dog, and there wasn't time to find a home. Hard to guess.
Anyway, he lucked out with your finding him!

Of course I'm partial to the fine name, Paco, so similar to my dog's name. Give him a hug from here.

@ossobuco,
Probably so, he was well fed but we don't know if he's had his shots so Morgan is taking him in tomorrow.

I'll give it another week before that dog has his own room!

I just saw this commercial. I think it's a teaser for the one to be aired during the Super Bowl. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Smile

@firefly,
Paco is going to be Antonio’s dog so we will be teaching him how to take care of him.

Antonio helped me give the pup a bath and we bought him a crate and a bed so the crate will be in Antonio’s room but Antonio wants Paco to sleep with him. That’s fine, I’ll sneak in there tonight when he’s sleeping and take the pup outside so we can make sure he’s potty trained then take him back to bed.

It's hard to tell from the pics.. What kind of dog do think Paco is? He's darn cute. Nothing better than puppy love!
Some people suck. Good on ya for taking him in.

@jcboy,
Is Mac becoming more accepting of the pup? It may not be safe for him outside of a crate until that relationship is 100%.

When Cleo, the second rescue dog, joined the pack here, I had to keep one of the dogs crated all of the time I wasn't in the room with them. She couldn't be trusted not to attack Bailey for some time - and after about 10 years, he is still somewhat cautious around her unless he's sure there is supervision.
