@Region Philbis,
and the pale sox have come back with 4 in the 9th to tie the game against some terrible tiger relief pitching. (one was rjb's guy, but he had him on the bench)

ozzie still thinks they can make the twinkies sweat...

@Rockhead,

pap needs a change of scenery.
they threw him in last night to shake off some rust.
he looked like he'd rather be fishing.
there have been murmurs about making bard the closer next year...

pitching has been a major disappointment.
wouldn't shock me to see farrell take a new gig somewhere (cleveland?)...

So I'm watching the Giants at the Cubbies (got a pitcher throwing. not the one that imploded) and The Giants are batting around in the second, which I 've seen before.

but Jose Guillen, on his fourth or fifth team this season, started it off by getting hit by a pitch.

and 8 guys later, he's back up, and...

gets hit again. Shocked

what are the odds...?

@panzade,
No duel. It's obvious who is the better pitcher.

from yahoo...

RHP Roy Halladay is not just the unofficial current leader for the National League Cy Young Award. He should also garner some MVP votes. In his first season with the Phillies, Halladay has played a big role in the team's attempt to win its fourth straight NL East crown. In 14 starts against divisional foes, Halladay is 13-1 with a 1.74 ERA. He's only defeat came in 2-0 loss to Josh Johnson and the Marlins on June 10. In addition to having a perfect game on his resume, Halladay leads the National League in wins (20), strikeouts (213), complete games (eight), shutouts (four), innings (241 2/3) and ranks third in ERA (2.53).

we can only hope that he's a utility-infielder in-the-making...
