@Region Philbis,
My fantasy 3B ought not be flinging himself towards the stands like that. I don't get any points for the amazing catch.

That could have ended badly ...

fantasy owners of miggy will be salivating this afternoon I'm afraid...

"Miguel Cabrera has five career home runs against Chen, the most against any pitcher he's faced. In 34 career at-bats, Cabrera is batting .441 with 11 RBIs and nine walks."

I'll sit down and watch until it gets ugly.

maybe Chen will be bruce lee again today...

Reeg was right. The Rays' swing through the AL West is a disaster. Indians, Orioles and Yankees are breathing down Tampa's wild card neck.

@panzade,
Bruce just got Andy dirks to swing at the eephus pitch. for an out...

maybe smoke and mirrors work today.

as to the Myers trade, it hurt, but we would not be competitive today without Shields. I woulda taken someone other than Davis, but Dayton forgot to consult me...

Prince just struck out on the eephus pitch.

whodathunk it.

we are up 4-2 on the tigers mid 6th, and a win takes the series for the royals...

You don't think the Yankees are desperate?
They bring in Rivera to pitch the 8yh and 9th with a 1 run lead.
Girardi's making a big mistake.

@panzade,
I think the yankees are always desperate.

and I think Boston gave up more to get less than KC did when they sent Iglesias away for Peavy.

Jose is looking like an all star in Detroit.

I'd take him over Stephen Drew in a heartbeat...

as for the royals, Neddy brought in Herrera to replace soft tossing Chen.

101 mph heat after high 70's and low 80's junk all afternoon.

it's a good day to be a KC fan...

@Rockhead,

we had to get peavy, because there were no guarantees buchh would get healthy this year -- he did, and will pitch tuesday night vs the rays.

bogaerts will replace JD Jr next year, plus we have another kid (his name escapes me) down on the farm who may be even better...

they are expected to beat all those teams so the royals have a shot...

... and meanwhile, in the NL, the Pirates are one win away from their first winning season in 20 years, and have lost 4 games in a row.

The pressing question: will they lose the remainder of their games and finish 81-81? Rolling Eyes
