I have had this washer for only 2 years. Had to fix it once already though not a big deal.

Now, my clothes are smelling.. musty.. dirty.. like old moldy water , every time they come out.

how do you clean a washer? Can you get rid of that smell?

I am running a super hot water load now with only bleach, no soap in it.
I may do one with vinegar as well.

what else is there?

@shewolfnm,
Is it a front loader shewolf? They're notorious. If so, it's best to always leave the door open a little (when you're not using it Smile ) . I use vinegar in mine as a fabric softener and that seems to do the trick.

If it's a top loader I don't know what to suggest -- is it perhaps not totally draining?

@Tai Chi,
that is what I thought.
Which is why I choose a bleach load first. because if it is not draining, then the bleach will help kill the mold in the water and at least allow me to do some laundry , which is a necessity at this point, and not have them come out funky..

how to check if a washer is draining properly...

dunno?

( off to google)
