@fansy,
There is a Continental Bridge in Istanbul between Europe and Asia.
Is that what you mean?

(I don't know of any others.)

@George,
Maybe fansy wants to know about the "land bridges" joining Europe and Asia. These are trade routes, modern "silk roads" made up of railway lines, highways, etc. The third Eurasian Continental Bridge, from Guangdong to the Port of Rotterdam, will open in 2015. They have names like "first Eurasian continental bridge".

Depending on the definition of "continental", the Bridge of the Americas, in Panama, could be seen as one of them...

Indeed.
So many of our discussions go astray because we do not define our terms.

@George,
In this discussion, "land bridge" is a biogeological term, and is strictly used in the scientific sense. "Continental bridge" refers to man-made bridges linking up two continents, this term is sometimes used figuratively, to refer to land and waterway route connecting all countries along the way. However, some people use these two terms interchangeably in a figurative way.

We have gathered that already! You asked the question, which meaning did you have in mind?

@contrex,
When we translate "dalu qiao" as a biogeological concept into English, we must turn it into "land bridge", those who turn it into "continental bridge" show that they are ignorant.
