Perhaps I've missed anyone mentioning this, but speaking of the New Yorker, I was looking at their blogs a day or two ago, and ran across one by Bob Mankoff, the cartoon editor.
Well! at least two hours and maybe three later I finished it (so far) and learned a tremendous amount about humor, cartoons, cartoonists, and more. I'm not positive, but I think you can read the blog without being a NYer subscriber.

continue reading, and clicking on that is very worth doing in my opinion, and then you have to push your browser back button to get back to following the chronological order of the posts, which are in backward order to begin with, if you follow me...
