@chai2,
I thought "schvitz" was a verb, like, "can you turn the air conditioning on already? i'm schvitzing" (Sweating.)

We've got the heat but it's been pretty dry.

103, 80%+ humidity, oy.

@sozobe,
a schvitz can also be a noun. "Moishe, care to join me? I'm going over to the club for a schvitz." (steam beath)

I started a thread about Bikram yoga a while back (I've been practicing yoga for a few months now, hatha & kundalini...no bikram).

You do bikram in a room heated to 105 degress.

Damn, I could do that out on my front lawn, or in the parking lot. What do I need a studio for.

I learned to just stay inside from now until the end of Sept.

@chai2,
I once went to a gym where there was a girl who would work out..........in the sauna. Thing is, the humidity in a sauna is very low. I find that in Fla. I can stand the heat, but when the humidity puts the "real feel" into the 100s, fuggadaboudit!

Yesterday in Houston - 104. Don't know how hot today, except it has to be as hot as yesterday.

I have NO ac in my car.

Talk about death.

Today, just sitting in HEB parking lot long enough for me to get my RX, some rice, 2 banannas and sour cream, my car thermometer read 116 sitting in the -concrete-.

I do not think I have ever seen my gauge get that high in my car.

Homeless deaths will rival extreme winter rates ..

At 7:30pm I got in my car which had been parked in the shade at the yoga place......110 when sitting there, cooled down to 104 degrees by the time I drove the 7 or 8 blocks home. Just checked online, 104 is accurate...what it was at Camp Mabry an hour ago.
