Yes, the robber barons have done very well for themselves. Americans are idiots, they don't even know when they are being taken for a ride.

Amigo, if that definition was meant for me, I know what socialism is. I'm still against it.

@Finn dAbuzz,
The energy combined by the "Left" and "Right" is enough to reform the government. The government is not left wing or right wing. Government is ultimatly and by its nature totalitarian.

Bush with the support of the right wing will give the government the Patriot act.Obama with the support of the left wing will narrow the pratice of the 2nd amendment. This is the "Left" and the "Right" working together in the government to concentrate the resources, land and wealth into fewer and fewer hands.

It was meant for anybody and everybody. The counter to capitalism is non existent. Most Americans can't even tell a very simple definition of what socialism is.

So....Here it is.

Why are you against it?

Socialism wrongfully suppresses the need and desire humans have to be exceptional.

@panzade,
I'm not an apologist. I'm way over Ortega, much less Chavez. I was for the Sandanistas, in the day. I've interest in euro socialism, a different bag of beans, but am not smart on the details.

I apologia pro vita sua for no one. I may describe my own quandaries.

Let's say Old man McPherson had takle shop on Main. He worked there when he was a kid when his grandfather owned it and now he owned it and his son worked there and he planned for his son to own it. But then Wallmart moved in and now old man McPherson works for Walmart and his son is a cashier for Wallmart and his sons son will work for Wallmart.

And Joe from "Joes Garage" works for Walmart and Lisa from "Lisas linin" works for Walmart and all the people in China are locked in Walmart factories and everybody is working for **** and they never own **** till there dead working for Walmart.

Who exactly is living exceptional?

Where does all the Walmart money go?

Who makes all this **** for walmart?

@Amigo,
Socialists get to own shops? Who knew? Sounds like there was some inherited wealth being transferred down the family line in a good ole capitalist fashion.

Amigo, I'm not a fan of Walmart by any means but socialism isn't a better answer.

That makes it sound like you're more interested in anarchy than socialism, Amigo. I think I understand where you're coming from, but have you thought this out clearly?
